Meranda Phillips

Meranda Phillips has been at the Karl Truman Law Office since July 2011, and she has been on Social Security Disability claims the entire time.

Start to finish. That is the part that matters. She is involved in the claim from the first call through the decision, which can take years. “I think that continuity makes people feel comfortable.” When a client calls, she already knows who they are.

Clients describe her as knowledgeable, compassionate, and responsive, with strong attention to detail. They also describe her as the person who put them at ease. One client, after four years of denials, wrote that Meranda and attorney Evan Jones would not let her quit.

Her take on the firm is a small firm’s take. “We are smaller than a lot of our competition. We return phone calls and we get to know our clients on a more personal level.”

Meranda is a graduate of Abilene Christian University with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology, and earned her Associate of Arts in Paralegal Studies at the University of Louisville. A native of Findlay, Ohio, she now lives in Louisville. She spends her time with friends, family, and her two dogs. She plays the drums. She loves the city of Louisville and all of the food and culture it has to offer. She is a lifelong Detroit Lions fan.
