Honor Flight Blue Grass 25th Anniversary

Karl Truman Sponsors Honor Flight for Veterans

September 14, 2017

The Bluegrass Honor Flight is a chance to recognize military veterans from World War II, Vietnam, and Korea for their contributions to America. Karl Truman, as a retired Army officer, appreciates the sacrifices of our troops, and does everything in his power to support and honor those who have fought for American freedoms.

Many veterans of the Vietnam War, Korean War, and World War II have never had the opportunity to visit Washington, DC to see the monuments erected in their honor. With the Bluegrass Honor Flight program, these veterans are able to ride in a B-25 bomber to DC, where they are given a VIP experience and police escort to see their name on a monument.

In addition to this year’s flights, Karl Truman also sponsored honor flights last year, and he plans to continue his sponsorship for the foreseeable future. This is just one way that Mr. Truman shows his appreciation and gratitude for our veterans.

In addition to sponsoring such programs as the Honor Flight and the Veteran of the Year programs in Indiana and Kentucky, Mr. Truman provides legal services to veterans. One of his practice areas consists of helping disabled veterans receive their benefits.
